A day tour of Florence will give you the opportunity to discover a fabulous city in a just few hours. The heart of the historic centre, true treasure of masterpieces of all time, is the axis between Piazza Duomo and Piazza della Signoria; here you will enjoy views of the Cathedral with the magnificent Brunelleschi’s Dome and Giotto's Campanile that faces the Battistero di San Giovanni, as well as Piazza della Signoria, with the famous Palazzo della Signoria, the Loggia dei Lanzi and the Uffizi Gallery. Continuing the walk and following the Vasari Corridor, we cross Ponte Vecchio on the Arno River to reach the Oltrarno historic district, where you can admire places such as Palazzo Pitti and the churches of Santa Felicita (with Pontormo works of art), the church of Carmine (with the Brancacci Chapel) and the church of Spirito Santo. Going back in the heart of the historic centre, you can choose whether to go towards the Church of San Marco (Fra Angelico Church), the Accademia Gallery (with the famous David), the Church of San Lorenzo (with the Medici Chapels) and the Church Santa Maria Novella; alternatively, on the opposite side, you can visit Santa Croce district, with the splendid Basilica and the characteristic district of Sant’ambrogio, full of bars and restaurants, where you can end the day with a typical Florentine dinner.
